We all have seen the jugs from W.T. & C.D. Gunter, the sole sales agent of Jack Daniel's back in them days... The demand of fine whiskey was growing so fast they soon bottled in stock bottles (check out the Gunter bottles on the other page). But have you ever seen a labeled bottle from those guys?? Well, I haven't till I have seen this one!
Another "never seen before" label from Jack Daniels. I can't tell you much about it other than that it is from around c.1900.
After Lem Motlow took over the Jack Daniel's company prohibition turned Lynchburg into a dry county. Lem had to move the distilling operation to different places, one of them was Birmingham, AL and the other was St. Louis, Missouri. That last facility closed in 1918. Mr. Lem Motlow also had a warehouse in Hopkinsville, Kentucky between 1912 to 1913. Below you see a bottle from that period. You can imagion how rare it is!

It took me a while before I finaly found this shot glass from the same area. It's a Hopkinsville etched glass and also dated around 1912. It's in almost mint condition.
