The Jack Daniel's lighters and Cigars

One of the commercial things that has got the name Jack Daniel's on it are the lighters. Several brands have them, like off course the brand Zippo. On this picture you can see all the zippo's that are available (as far as I know.....) and a lot of other lighters. Some of them are filled with gas, some with petrol. Some even got a match-stick to light it!

At the left you see a display I bought in Spain with patrol lighters, the one on the bottom has got a match-stick with cotton to burn! The big yellow matchbox is a very wanted and rare box. At the right you see the last two matchboxes from the Single barrel bottle. Over 62 different zippo's on this page are real except one.

Zippo's

This next Zippo is a special one from Japan. The color is Gold, but it's so bright that it was very dificult to get a good picture that shows the real color of the zippo. Second cool thing about this zippo is the sticker on the back side, "Licensed by Suntory". Suntory imports Jack Daniels to Japan.

Star lighter (a Zippo look-a-like)

This next "Zippo look a like" is from Singapore. Same size, same design as a Zippo. I wonder if Jack Daniel's (Brown and Forman) knows about it... Brands name is Star.

Below you see the orginal Zippo design on the right and the "Star" look a like zippo on the left.

Japanese lighter (a Zippo look-a-like)

It's just like a real zippo. Good quility, same design. Nice little booklet came with it and as you can see it is boxed in a carboard sleave.

Biggest (working) Jack Daniels Zippo!

Found in Japan... Awesome big, working metal Jack Daniels Zippo! Everything is the same as the regular Zippo, inside and outside! It's heavy and the zippo is burning real good... Rare? huh huh...
This is a Genuine Suntory edition (Suntory takes care of Jack Daniels in Japan)

Second version made for Suntory Japan. Same size as the big one above. Awesome Zippo's! There is a 3rd one on it's way from Japan as we speak... so next time a picture of it! Park lighters

This next one looks like a zippo but is a little smaller. It was made in Murfreesboro, TN in the 70-ties.

Spanish lighters

FLTR: top shelf: two gas lighters. On the bottom shelf the matchstick (patrol) lighter and another gaslighter. I took another picture of the matchstick below so you can see how it's detailed! It's like a little book. On the top of the matchstick there is a little cotton that will burn when you strike the match. (it's soacked with patrol)

Japanese lighter set from Suntory

Nice "film can" filled with 6 different lighters

Jack Daniel's Cigars

But what do we light with these lighters??? Off course...Jack Daniel's cigars! Here is a picture of the Jack Daniel's cigars that are available at this moment (but hard to find!) On the bottom of the picture you see a metal box that contains cigaret paper to role you own cigarets.

Ash trays

Three different ashtrays, I know there are about 6 different ashtrays around.

A pewter ashtray.

Matchbooks

Matchbooks made in early 70-ties.

Match book covers

The next match boxes are pretty old, the one on the bottom is from around the 40-ties, it has got only 4 gold medals on it and Jack Daniel's was bottle in bond during those days!!

Below you see two very old matchbook covers. I do not know from which date they are, my quess is close to the 60-ties. If you have any idea let me know.

New Match book versions

The next two boxes are from the 70-ties. Available in green and black label version. Inside the cardboard boxes there are two rows of matches attached to a card with a picture and a little story about Jack Daniels.
