c.1900 Distillery bridge

This is a photo of the first bridge at the distillery. This bridge was constructed in October of 1900. The bridge is has been demolished now and the new bridge that is now in front of the New Visitors Center is where this bridge stood. I wonder if that is whiskey in those barrels or mortar for the limestone rock that were being placed for the bridge. If you look closely you can see the block and tackle that was powered by the horse for the men to set the hugh stones in place. The house that you see across the Mulberry Creek is still standing and owned by the Motlow family.
