27 Januari 1912 Mule day in Lynchburg, TN (I)

Another Mule Trade Day photo in Lynchburg, TN. Both Lem Motlow and his cousin Frank "Spoon" Motlow would buy, sale and trade mules on the square in Lynchburg. Mr. Spoon would travel all around the United States to find the best mules and have them shipped by railroad to Tullahoma. Like the whiskey that comes out of Lynchburg only the best was good enough to please the customer.

This photo was taken from about were Sully's store is now looking across the Square. If you look close you can see the building on the far left hand side of the Square, this is the Framers bank that you see on picture No. 6. The Farmers bank that is on the square nowadays was built by Lem Motlow in later years.
